MINISTRY CONTACTS:
Bethel Hill UMC
At Bethel Hill United Methodist Church we experience God’s love in a welcoming and compassionate community, draw close to God in the peaceful natural setting, and reach out in loving service to those in need, relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance.
✦We are a welcoming and compassionate community:
As Jesus Christ welcomed all into His loving presence, so we welcome all who enter. With compassion we care for each other. We respect our differences and find our unity in Christ.
✦We grow in the Spirit:
We grow in our understanding of what it means to be a people of God through prayer, worship, reading and study.
✦We are blessed with a beautiful natural setting:
The beauty of God’s creation that surrounds us offers for all who enter sanctuary for reflection, peace, and quiet apart from the rush of daily life.
✦We are called to extend God’s love to the community around us:
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit we offer ourselves to serve the needs of others.

A supportive Lenten Experience with the practice of Centering Prayer
and being grounded in Scripture
Are you trying to do it all yourself? God seeks is relationship with us, a two-way communication. What relationship with God requires is very similar to what our earthly relationships require: openness, listening, focused time. One way to practice the skills needed for this relationship is centering prayer, a simple but deeply powerful prayer practice. In beautiful and accessible language, Muyskens invites us to spend time daily focusing our hearts on the Lord, to find the power to be still and be reoriented to “the One who is the Center of all.”
Exercises in prayer and scripture reading are provided for the 40 days. This is a repeat of last year’s successful Lenten series. Book for the series: Forty Days to a Closer Walk with God.
